RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria and nursing processes. The RN assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff. They coordinate patient care in collaboration with other members of an interdisciplinary team. Educating patients and families is essential, along with utilizing resources to prepare patients for discharge.
