Details 38-bed Telemetry unit staffed with RNs, CNAs, Critical Care Techs, and Advanced Care Techs Patient ratios typically range from 1:4 to 1:6 based on acuity Patient population includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, COVID, and post-procedure patients (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, OHS downgraded from ICU) Administers non-titratable cardiac medication drips such as Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro CCTs monitor ECG rhythms on all telemetry patients 24/7 3x12 Days schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours Call is not required May float to ICU for telemetry/medical appropriate assignments, medical-surgical units, and Renown South Meadows Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active NV RN license required prior to start Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient telemetry/PCU experience required Must pass a telemetry competency exam including rhythm strip identification and measurement Confident interpreting cardiac rhythms, identifying changes, and taking appropriate action Experience with common diagnoses including pre-/post-cath care, CHF, AKI, COPD, CVA, and ETOH preferred Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required Additional Information Provides comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families throughout the episode of care Coordinates care with ancillary staff including Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and Respiratory Therapists Level II trauma center with 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds serving a 500-mile radius Must float to areas of need up to competency level Required to work major holidays, including a minimum of 2 major holidays per contract Required to pick up one additional shift every 4-week schedule period Facility may cancel shifts with 48 hours notice for low census without penalty Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted A 13-week break is required for returning travelers before starting a new assignment Requested RTO must be submitted with the application American Traveler Job ID P-735159.
