Travel Operating Room Nurse - $2,807 per week

Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.

Job Description & Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare patients before surgery.
• Serve as a Circulating Nurse during surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile and safe operating room environment.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process.
• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists during procedures.
• Coordinate surgical supplies, equipment, and implants.
• Document patient care and surgical events in Epic EMR.
• Participate in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
• Respond to trauma and emergency surgical cases.
• Float between UnityPoint campuses as needed.
• Take call shifts, including overnight and weekend call coverage.

Required Experience

• Minimum 24 months of current OR RN experience .
• Recent circulating experience required .
• Experience in:
  • General Surgery
  • Trauma
  • Pediatrics
  • Da Vinci Robotics
• Trauma Level II experience required.
• Epic EMR experience within the last 3 years.
• Previous travel assignment completed within the last 15 months (no first-time travelers).
