DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position supports the transportation needs of consumers by providing safe travel and positive daily interaction. As a part-time Van Driver, you will perform the following duties: Safe Transportation: Drive county vehicles an average of 150 miles each day while ensuring passenger comfort Consumer Assistance: Help senior adults and wheelchair dependent persons with boarding and exiting in various conditions Communication Skills: Communicate clearly with consumers and staff through person to person interaction and two way radio Schedule Adaptation: Adjust to daily route changes and maintain flexibility in service needs Social Support: Provide friendly interaction and positive social contact throughout the day Work Schedule and Additional Information: Part-time employment, approximately 14-21+ hours per week Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday with limited hours on Saturday Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirement: You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license. Condition of Employment: No suspension of driver's license within the last three years.
