Job Title Mathematics Lecturer (9M) – Newark, Department: Newark | General Location and Schedule Location: Alford Center for Science and Technology (6013). Position Type: Regular. Shift: First Shift. Scheduled Hours: 40. Responsibilities The Ohio State University at Newark seeks a 100% FTE, 9/12 lecturer to teach mathematics courses in the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsibilities include facilitation of in-class learning activities, assigning and grading assessments (quizzes, exams, homework if applicable), offering weekly office hours, submission of grades, and resolution of any ongoing student or course issues. May participate in professional development. Performance Objectives Develop and deliver courses in an in‑person format. Contribute to the creation and improvement of course content. Education and Experience Requirements Required: Master’s degree required. Teaching experience at the post‑secondary level at a regional campus required, including university students at a pre‑college skill level. Desired: Familiarity with the Ohio State University’s department of Mathematics courses and curriculum. Salary The budget for this position is $50,000.
