Overview Assistant Parts Manager – Madison, WI, US Experience: Senior Level Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Parts Manager to join our dynamic team at our trucking and transportation company. This role oversees the day-to-day operations of the parts department, ensuring smooth running and maximum efficiency. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits. Responsibilities Assist the Parts Manager in overseeing the operations and personnel of the parts department. Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory system, ensuring the dealership is stocked with the necessary parts. Work closely with the service department to ensure that all parts requests are met in a timely and efficient manner. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the parts department. Provide exceptional customer service, handling inquiries and complaints professionally and effectively. Train and mentor parts department staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Monitor and analyze parts department performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes. Maintain thorough knowledge of all products and services offered by the dealership. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant safety regulations. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in sales, preferably automotive. Proven experience in a parts manager or assistant parts manager role. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Exceptional sales and customer service skills. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Proficiency in inventory management software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management or related field is an advantage.
