Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur05:30 AM - 02:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel. Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately, and communicate with hospital staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed. Minimum Requirements: Have at least two years of security-related experience. Meet hospital vaccination requirements. Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be able to restrain individuals when necessary. Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
