Location: US:LA:Hammond | Allied Health and Rehabilitation Services (Full Time) Posted 11 months ago | Status: Full Time | Shift: Rotating 10 hour shift with call | Exempt: No Summary Perform duties associated with the operation of the Cath Lab and report to the Cath Lab Coordinator. Education and Staff Development Trains new and current employees, students, and/or volunteers by discussion and demonstration. Has completed all mandatory classes in the past calendar year. Has completed all in‑services relating to their position. Participates in continuing education activities. Participates in projects and assists in the development and implementation of procedures and policies. Accountability: Attendance Punctuality Complies with wearing Hospital Identification badge as instructed Appropriate use of breaks and meal times Attends staff meetings Organizational and Departmental Regulator Compliance (OSHA, JCAHO, HCFA, OIG, etc.) Policies and Procedures Competencies Work area cleanliness Hospital and Department Dress Code Maintains licensure Utilizes a personal computer to access e‑mail and other hospital systems. Demonstrates ability to provide competent patient care to Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric populations. Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Previous experience: Minimum of two years as a registered Radiologic Technologist with at least two years in Special Procedures and/or Cardiac Cath (preferred). Specialized or technical education required: Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology. Must be licensed by the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRCERT) and achieve certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) within 90 days of graduation. (Temporary work permit through LSRTBE acceptable; permanent licensure and certification must be achieved within 90 days of graduation.) CPR certified required. ACLS certified preferred. Manual or physical skill: Proper body mechanics.
