Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator

Operations-focused role (inventory, vendor management, systems)

IZOLA Bakery is hiring an Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator to take ownership of inventory, ordering, receiving and vendor management across the business.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role at the center of our operation. You will be responsible for ensuring we always have the right ingredients, at the right quality, at the right cost—without disruption to production.

This role is not about prior bakery or inventory experience . It is about how you think, how you work, and how much ownership you’re ready to take on.

Schedule & Compensation

\n
• 32–40 hours per week
\n
• Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
\n
• Hours may vary slightly week to week but will generally average 35 hours
\n
• Pay: $21-$23 per hour, depending on experience
\n

What You Own

Inventory & Purchasing

\n
• Own inventory levels across all ingredients and supplies
\n
• Place orders based on usage, forecasting, and operational needs
\n
• Receive deliveries, verify accuracy and quality, and resolve issues
\n
• Maintain strict FIFO, labeling, and storage organization
\n
• Ensure inventory is accurate, accessible, and production-ready at all times
\n

Inventory Systems & Analysis

\n
• Track weekly usage and identify trends, gaps, and inefficiencies
\n
• Maintain clean, accurate inventory data in spreadsheets/systems
\n
• Support costing through disciplined tracking and reporting
\n
• Investigate discrepancies and solve root causes
\n

Vendor Management & Sourcing

\n
• Build and manage vendor relationships
\n
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery expectations
\n
• Source new vendors to improve quality or reduce costs
\n
• Monitor pricing and proactively address cost increases
\n
• Resolve issues directly with vendors
\n

Operations & Office Support

\n
• Maintain organized systems for documentation and records
\n
• Support office operations and administrative workflows
\n
• Contribute to improving systems and overall efficiency
\n

Physical Requirements

\n
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
\n
• Move inventory between areas, including stairs
\n
• Frequent bending, lifting, and organizing
\n
• Standing/walking for extended periods
\n
