Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVPICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: NC or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Prior experience in pediatric critical care - Charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 2:1 Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU). The candidate should possess a minimum of one year of clinical experience. Candidates will be required to have current certification in BLS and PALS. This position requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Nurses will provide care to patients with complex congenital heart disease and cardiac arrhythmia. Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring and management of ventilated patients. The role may involve administration of medications, including IV vasopressors and chemotherapy. Nurses will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. Floating to other areas may be required based on the unit’s needs. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. Candidates must have experience with pediatric patient charts and documentation systems. It is essential to have a strong background in assessing and managing critically ill pediatric patients. All candidates must comply with flu vaccine requirements. Please note that there are no exemptions for the flu vaccine policy. Travelers may have a maximum of three absences per 13-week assignment. Attendance will be closely monitored, and excessive tardiness or no-shows may result in contract review.
