Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Security)

Information Technology Division - Arlington, VA The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Security). You will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified and/or unclassified systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. GS-14 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-2210-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: Specialized Experience Providing technical advice, guidance, and assistance on critical IT security issues; Managing a secure IT program consistent with organizational guidelines and standards; Applying knowledge of the principles and methods to identify, analyze, specify, design, and manage secure enterprise requirements; Preparing and maintaining detailed technical, project planning, and management documentation concerning computer security projects and the computer security portions of systems development projects. AND Basic Requirement: In addition to the Specialized Experience above, you must meet the basic requirements for the Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 as described below. A. You possess appropriate licensure, registration, certification (Examples include: PMP, ITIL, Agile, AWS, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security, Microsoft Solutions Architect Expert, CISSP, Networking, AI Governance Professional) You must provide copies of licensure, registration, certification. C. You do not fully meet the competency requirements outlined above, but you are nonetheless demonstrably well qualified to perform the work of the position. You have a substantial record of experience, achievement, and publications that demonstrates eminence in the appropriate profession/technical field.
