Seven Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Hyannis, MA. This travel assignment offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to perform computerized tomographic procedures in a healthcare setting, under the direction of a manager. The role requires proficiency in applying ionizing radiation to patients safely, following established practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist

• Perform computed tomography scanning procedures with attention to technical detail
• Operate control console for patient scans and select proper imaging techniques
• Maintain, set-up and adjust equipment, ensuring calibration as needed
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices for optimum scan results
• Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety
• Monitor and care for patients' physical and psychological needs during procedures
• Record all pertinent information for permanent records
• Apply radiographic protection principles to minimize radiation exposure
• Coordinate and modify procedures for maximum efficiency
• Evaluate images for quality assurance
• Assist physicians with the administration of radiographic contrast media
• Comply with Infection Control policies and continue professional development
• Maintain ethical relationships and ensure patient confidentiality

Requirements of the CT Technologist

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• High school graduate or GED
• Graduate from an AMA Accredited Radiography Program
• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT & RT)
• Valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Control (RT & CT)
• At least 1 year of current CT Tech experience (within the last 5 years)
• Current BLS certification
