Site Operations Lead

Overview Leidos is seeking a Site Operations Lead to support a government site in Indian Head, MD as a key member of the Field Services team. The candidate will provide direct desk-side support to the customer, troubleshooting and repairing IT devices. Location & Physical Requirements The work location is a government site and requires: Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for up to 100 feet at a time, and lift 25 lbs. vertically using ladders. Ability to work in confined spaces such as raised floors or communications closets, in noisy environments like data centers and operations centers, and ability to stand or sit for 8 hours at a time. Ability to use basic hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches while rack mounting equipment. Normal color vision, correctable vision to 20/20 or better, and depth perception for safe ladder use and confined spaces. Ability to read digital test equipment such as OTDR. Valid state driver’s license and ability to drive personal or corporate vehicle to locations for projects and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Manage site operations. Plan, direct, and monitor operational activities of the site. Establish relationships with internal customers and other functional managers. Qualifications US Citizen with a DoD Secret Clearance. High School diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent education or certifications. Valid DoD 8570 IAT Level II: Security+ or higher Certification. Expertise in IT Enterprise Operations. Experience with Microsoft Windows OS 10. Experience with HP Service Manager, Remedy, or similar Service/Help Desk ticket management software. Basic network troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Nice to Have Organized and detail-oriented. Strong leadership skills. Self-motivated and self-directing. Strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills. Ability to manage and prioritize own work and that of others. Independent decision-making. Analytical thinking and creative problem solving. Effective communication across organizational levels. Ability to analyze problems at various levels. Pay Range $37.00 – $41.00 per hour.
