Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Services team in Clarkston, Washington. This dynamic role involves providing comprehensive nursing care across various units, including the Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Day Surgery, and Pre-operative Clinic.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering exceptional patient care throughout the perioperative continuum, from pre-operative assessment and education to intra-procedure support, including conscious sedation, and critical post-anesthesia and post-operative recovery.

This position requires adaptability and a strong clinical foundation to float within the Outpatient Services area, ensuring seamless patient flow and high-quality care for patients undergoing GI/Endoscopy procedures, day surgeries, and other special procedures requiring sedation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support during GI/Endoscopy procedures.
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation for patients undergoing various special procedures.
• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and provide comprehensive patient education.
• Deliver expert post-anesthesia and post-operative nursing care, including vigilant monitoring for complications.
• Float as needed to all areas within Outpatient Services, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Pre-operative Clinic.
• Identify, assess, and manage potential post-anesthesia and post-operative complications effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute GI/Endoscopy experience.
• Demonstrated experience in PACU, Perioperative, or Anesthesia/Recovery nursing.
• Ability to float across various units within Outpatient Services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge Nurse experience.

• Proficiency in GI/Endoscopy procedures and patient care.
• Expertise in conscious sedation administration and monitoring.
• Strong peri-operative nursing assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Competence in post-anesthesia and post-operative care.

• Adaptability and flexibility to work in a variable schedule and float between units.
