Position Details

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 30

Patient Ratios: 1:6

Staffing Description: The unit is supported by Clinical Coordinators, a Unit Secretary, Patient Care Technicians, and Case Management.

Equipment: The unit is equipped with walkers, IV pumps, SCDs, and other essential medical devices.

Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements

4 weekend shifts required per 28-day schedule
Participation in holiday rotation is expected
Floating policies apply among staff

Patient Experience Requirements

Achieve a patient experience target of 72%, focusing on effective communication.

Qualifications

Licensure: Valid RN license is required.
Skills Required: Candidates must demonstrate teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and strong communication skills.
Advanced Skills: Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, particularly with various respiratory diseases, renal issues, GI illnesses, telemetry, central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin infusions is essential.

Procedures and Certifications

Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)

Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
