CT Technologist

Job Title: CT Technologist (New Graduates Accepted)

Location: North Charleston, SC
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities


• Perform specialized CT imaging procedures in accordance with radiologist protocols

• Position patients accurately using appropriate immobilization and protective equipment

• Adhere to ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles

• Prepare imaging rooms, equipment, and patients for procedures

• Explain procedures and provide patient education to ensure comfort and understanding

• Operate CT scanner (GE) and adjust imaging parameters as required

• Evaluate images for technical quality, perform window/level adjustments, and ensure proper labelling

• Transmit images to PACS for interpretation

• Assist radiologists during procedures, including IV starts and contrast administration when applicable

• Load and operate power injectors for contrast delivery

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

• Assist with scheduling and clerical duties, including billing support

• Ensure safety protocols for patients, visitors, and staff are consistently followed

• Support X-ray operations (Shimadzu unit) as needed after training

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members and contribute to a positive work environment

• Provide compassionate care addressing patients' physical and emotional needs

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Education & Certification


• Completion of a 24-month AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program


• ARRT certification (preferred)

• Advanced ARRT certification in CT required within 6 months of hire OR completion of an accredited CT program

• SCQRSA state license required


• BLS certification required


• Continuing education required every two years for license renewal

Experience


• Minimum 1 year of experience Preferred.

• Strong CT experience preferred

• Average patient volume: ~20 patients per day


• Patient population: Primarily adults (young adults to elderly)
