Diesel Mechanic

Seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a well-established company!


Job duties include:


Responsible for performing inspections, services, repairs, and major rebuilds on all forms of mobile equipment
Ability to do preventive and predictive maintenance
Accurate record keeping and extensive use of OEM manuals are required
Will gather any or all write-ups, look for pre-shift inspections
Checklist of duties
Area inspection of work area daily
Monthly hour meter inspections of mobile equipment
Help count inventory and assist with inventory management
Assist associates when needed with a mobile equipment problem


Requirements:


High School Diploma
Degree in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent experience
Experience with repairing trucks, heavy equipment, and utility vehicles
Ability to operate and train operators
CDL air brake license is a plus
Basic computer skills required
Strong judgement and decision making skills
Knowledge of basic stick/wire feed welding
Knowledge of 12 and 24 volt electrical systems
Required to provide own tool set
Must be able to receive clearance for respirator protection
This position requires heavy lifting, bending, stooping, and climbing
