Staff Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care utilizing the nursing process. This role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to supervise and delegate tasks to co-workers effectively. The RN will work in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines to provide high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of each patient based on their needs.
• Provide quality care guided by established plans of care/pathways.
• Educate patients and families throughout the admission to discharge process.
• Document the nursing process comprehensively and accurately.
• Notify physicians of significant observations and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders as prescribed.
• Ensure availability of equipment and supplies necessary for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Valid nursing license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Schedule

This position follows a night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
