Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations by reviewing patient history, performing specific assessments, and documenting findings to create individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate assessment results and treatment options effectively with patients and their families, engaging them in goal-setting processes to foster collaboration.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's condition, ensuring methods are adapted according to their progress and any changes in their health status.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals when necessary, proactively recognizing and documenting shifts in patient conditions that may require modifications to treatment plans.
• Effectively manage discharge planning and post-care follow-up, ensuring seamless transitions and collecting accurate documentation of care activities.
• Maintain an organized schedule, manage time efficiently, and consistently meet productivity expectations while actively participating in departmental meetings and community outreach.
• Play a pivotal role in achieving department goals and comply with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
• Seek opportunities for continuing education and professional development while also serving as a mentor to new students or colleagues.
• Foster a positive patient experience by demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet individual patient needs.
• Engage in initiatives that remove barriers to patient access, actively participating in continuous improvement practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist in this role will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. The focus will be on rehabilitation to restore strength and functionality through personalized therapy sessions that enhance patient outcomes. Emphasis will also be placed on educating patients about preventative measures and exercise regimens that extend recovery benefits beyond the clinic.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.
• A valid CPR certification is necessary to ensure readiness for emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is the minimum requirement, proficiency in specific therapeutic modalities, experience in working with an integrated healthcare team, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems may be advantageous. Candidates who have demonstrated participation in clinical research or have additional certifications in specialized areas of physical therapy will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
