Accountant Position

This role offers an opportunity to excel in A/P responsibilities while contributing to various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Ensure accurate and timely data entry for accounts payable transactions.
• Streamline the approval process for invoices and ensure meticulous matching.
• Reconcile vendor accounts meticulously, resolving any discrepancies.
• Execute check runs, including check printing and mailing.
• Thoroughly complete credit card reconciliations for accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end 1099 forms.

General Accounting:

• Proactively distribute monthly customer statements.
• Conscientiously perform bank reconciliations to validate financial transactions.
• Record expenses with precision in the General Ledger through well-structured journal entries.
• Oversee subcontractor lien waivers and manage final payments.
• Carefully reconcile intercompany general ledger accounts as necessary.
• Play a pivotal role in year-end audit procedures.
• Efficiently process customer payments, including ACH transactions, and allocate them accurately.
• Maintain an updated and accurate customer database.

Qualifications:

• Showcase intermediate proficiency in MS Excel. Familiarity with VLookup and Pivot tables is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrate a proven track record in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.
• Prior experience within the construction industry is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with Quickbooks is a plus.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hold an Associates degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Expertly manage a substantial data entry workload while providing crucial accounting support.
