Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Mixer Operator to join their team. As a Mixer Operator, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, safety-consciousness, and strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Mixer Operator
Location: Morris, IL
Pay Rate: $22.11
Shift: 3PM-11PM
What's the Job?
- Use powered and unpowered hand trucks to position containers of chemicals and rubber safely and efficiently
- Identify different types of chemicals and rubber to ensure proper handling and processing
- Utilize the “#11 Banbury Mixing Sheet” to confirm the correct ingredients per batch
- Operate the #11 Banbury mixer in both automatic and manual modes, adjusting settings as needed
- Maintain a clean mixer, including the mixer door and throat, free of excess buildup to ensure safety and efficiency
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to repeatedly lift at least 75 lbs safely
- Must be able to read and understand directions, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong safety habits and awareness of safe work practices
- Basic understanding of PLC screens and temperature adjustments is a plus
