This role combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a healthcare team and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.Why Join Our Team?Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:17 days of paid time off11 paid holidays and one floating holidayMedical, dental, and vision coverage through UnitedHealthcare401(k) retirement plan with company matchCompany-paid life insuranceOpportunities for professional growthWhat Will You Do?Key responsibilities include:Obtain and document patient medical histories and personal informationMeasure and record vital signs, blood pressure, temperature, and respirationPrepare patients for examinations and clinical proceduresAssist providers during examinations and patient care activitiesExplain physician instructions and treatment plans to patients as directedPrepare and administer medications under physician supervisionPerform venipuncture and specimen collection as neededCollect and prepare laboratory specimens for testingMonitor vaccine refrigerator temperatures and maintain immunization recordsEnsure medications, vaccines, and sharps are stored according to AHCA regulationsMonitor medication expiration dates and maintain accurate inventory controlsSupport providers in achieving HEDIS and preventive care measuresDocument patient encounters and maintain accurate records within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systemCommunicate patient status changes and clinical concerns to providers promptlyReview referral statuses and ensure referrals are appropriately documented and completedMaintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all patient privacy and safety standardsParticipate in ongoing training and professional development opportunitiesPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMedical Assistant certification from an accredited organization requiredPhlebotomy certification preferredPrevious experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferredExperience using Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems preferredStrong understanding of medical terminologyExcellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environmentAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team settingCommitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered careBilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole preferredJoin Our Team!Join a team committed to providing compassionate, accessible healthcare and strengthening the health of the communities we serve.
