PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Driver/Warehouse Assistant is responsible for providing materials, equipment, and supplies to the various jobs as needed. This is a labor-intensive position where you will consistently lift and carry items weighing 75-100 lbs. You may also use a pallet jack or forklift to maneuver items within the warehouse. It's a physically demanding position; but it can be rewarding for the right person.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide materials, equipment, and supplies to jobsites as directed by others.
• Manually load and unload heavy building materials
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Measures inventory levels by conducting physical counts.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and keeping work areas orderly.
• Inspecting deliveries received in the warehouse.
• Read and interpret maps and GPS directions.
• Ensure inventory loads match shipping papers.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • 3 years experience driving Flatbed (Ford F-550) or large commercial vehicle
• At least 1 year of Warehouse Labor experience
• OSHA 10 Certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
• • or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Organizational skills, detail oriented, efficient and reliable.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
• Team Player, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible and adaptable to changes to planned tasks or schedule.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• An understanding of construction terminology.
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional training such as First Aid, CPR and Competent Person Training.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work 40 hours per week or more if required
• Ability to lift and/or carry 75-100 lbs. unassisted
• May require repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers
• May require prolonged periods of sitting while driving throughout workdays
• Must provide clean 5-year MVD record
• Valid AZ driver’s license and proof of insurability required when job duties require use of motor vehicle
• Must be able to obtain DOT
• Requires exercising of discretion in decision making process and maintaining of strict confidentiality with respect to customer, employee and company proprietary related information
