Job Description

A large engineering client is seeking a Senior Scheduler to join our Project Controls team out of our Chicago, IL with requirements to support a private client on site in southern Wisconsin. This role will support a growing and increasingly complex portfolio of transportation, transit, and major infrastructure projects across the country. The ideal candidate brings extensive construction knowledge, experience in Data Center and Life Science projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse project teams and work on-site. This is a senior-level role for someone who can operate independently, interface with clients, and elevate the quality of project controls deliverables\n\nKey Responsibilities\nScheduling & Project Controls Leadership\n•\tDevelop, maintain, and analyze complex CPM schedules for large-scale Data Center, Life Sciences, transportation, transit, and infrastructure programs using industry-standard scheduling software.\n•\tServe as the lead scheduling resource for client-facing engagements, providing strategic schedule guidance, performance assessments, and actionable recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.\n•\tPrepare, monitor, and manage baseline schedules, progress updates, recovery plans, time impact analyses, and what-if scenarios to support informed project decision-making.\n•\tLead schedule development and integration efforts across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities to ensure alignment with project objectives and milestone commitments.\nContractor & Client Schedule Review\n•\tReview and analyze contractor schedule submissions, periodic updates, recovery schedules, and Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) for compliance with contract requirements and industry best practices.\n•\tEvaluate schedule impacts associated with change orders, claims, delays, and disruptions, providing independent analysis and recommendations to project leadership and clients.\n•\tAssess schedule logic, sequencing, phasing, resource loading, and progress measurement methodologies to improve schedule quality, accuracy, and reliability.\n•\tCoordinate closely with project managers, construction managers, contractors, designers, commissioning teams, and field personnel to validate construction execution strategies and schedule assumptions.\n•\tFacilitate schedule review workshops and progress meetings, driving resolution of schedule concerns and alignment among project stakeholders.\nCoordination & Communication\n•\tServe as a primary point of contact for schedule-related discussions with private sector clients, program leadership, project teams, contractors, and executive stakeholders.\n•\tPresent schedule status, performance trends, critical path impacts, key milestones, and recovery recommendations during client and project team meetings.\n•\tDevelop executive-level schedule reports, dashboards, and analytics that provide clear visibility into project performance, risks, and forecast outcomes.\n•\tCollaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in both office and on-site environments to support successful project delivery.
