Logistics Supervisor

Job Description Responsible for administering the freight-sheltered income program while ensuring timely delivery of inside collect and backhaul shipments. Enlists and qualifies various carriers and manages the claims and pallet recovery programs. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company. Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Implements delivery programs within budgetary guidelines while still maintaining an acceptable level of customer satisfaction. Generates period-end revenue report. Identify backhaul pickups that do not meet the minimum requirement for revenue. Reviews daily purchase orders to build optimal consolidations to achieve maximum revenue. Establishes Booked Freight Cost with vendors. Negotiates contract rates and conditions with carrier. Implements quality delivery initiatives and methods which meet the company’s needs and the needs of the vendors/customers. Develops delivery strategies which are cost-effective and meet the necessary scheduling and time requirements. Qualifies carriers and maintains accurate rate, contract and insurance records. Administers "pallets owed" to vendor program. Administers claim recovery program. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience Required Experience: 2 - 4 years of procurement, logistics, warehouse and / or administrative experience in related area. #J-18808-Ljbffr
