• Float: Yes, able to float to all ICUs, ED, and PACU; occasionally to MS/PCU units
• Weekend Requirements: 4 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Call: Not required

What You'll Do

• Deliver direct patient care to ICU patients, including those on Impella devices and CRRT machines
• Monitor and manage a variety of ICU equipment, such as ventilators, dialysis machines, cardiac monitors, and medication stations
• Perform lab sticks, EKGs, line starts, and other bedside procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver safe, quality care
• Provide care for isolation patients, including those with Covid-19, using appropriate PPE
• Float to different ICU units and potentially to ED, PACU, or MS/PCU as needed
• Document patient care accurately and promptly

What You Need

• Required: Valid Louisiana RN license, ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH certifications
• Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience; CVICU experience highly preferred
• Skills: Proficiency with ICU equipment and procedures, ability to float, strong critical thinking
• Preferred: Epic electronic medical record experience
