Key Responsibilities

• Perform observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for all surgical patients in a 29-bed Operating Room unit
• Function as both scrub and circulator across all service lines, including Joint Replacement, ENT, Ortho, Spine, Urology, Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery
• Maintain a 3:1 patient ratio while utilizing equipment such as X-ray, EKG/electrocardiography, and preoperative and anesthesia support systems; document care using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate within a team structure that includes a Charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 2 Techs, and a Clinical Coordinator
• Participate in rotating weekend assignments as scheduling needs arise
• Fulfill on-call obligations within each 4-week period: 2 weeknight calls (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 2 weekend 24-hour calls, and 1 holiday 24-hour call (when a holiday falls within the period)

• Active RN license valid in the state of Florida (or compact license eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current, recent experience in an acute care Operating Room setting
• Demonstrated experience in orthopedic, spine, and joint replacement procedures, including knee and hip replacement
• Must be proficient as both scrub and circulator across all service lines
• Navy blue or royal blue scrubs required; surgical-style scrubs are not acceptable

• PALS certification
• CNOR certification
• Prior charge nurse experience
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking ability, and excellent bedside manner with a dedicated and reliable work ethic
