Here’s what this exciting role entails: - **Unit:** Labor and Delivery - **Position:** Registered Nurse - **Shift:** - Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) - Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) - **Scheduling Type:** Self - **Floating Requirements:** Potential floating to like units - **Weekend Coverage:** Every Other **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide exceptional care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit - Manage labor and delivery processes, ensuring the comfort and safety of mothers and newborns - Perform neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and resuscitation - Assist with complex deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and recovering patients post-operation - Engage in antepartum care and procedures, including the use of external fetal heart monitoring **Patient Care Details:** - Average daily deliveries: 7 (with peaks up to 14) - Daily census in LD/Antepartum: 7-14 - Patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults - Interdisciplinary support from specialists in various fields **Qualifications:** - Must possess AK RN license for Auto Offer - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with travel experience required - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, NRP - Skills include, but are not limited to: - Labor and Delivery management - Neonatal resuscitation and care - Preparing and assisting in surgical procedures - Pain management techniques - Postpartum care and support **Additional Information:** - Orientation Hours: 36 - Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks - Time off approved on a case-by-case basis upon offer - Candidates must reside a minimum of 50 miles from the facility **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
