Field Service Technician II

Field Tech IICompucom Systems, Inc. provides end-to-end IT managed services to enable the digital workplace for enterprise, midsize and small businesses. We're looking for a Field Tech II to join our team. The IT Field Technician will provide onsite technical support for a national home improvement retail client. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on IT work, troubleshooting, and working in a fast-paced field environment. Daily travel is expected, with locations spanning Alexandria, Fairfax, Chantilly, Sterling, Leesburg, Manassas, Gainesville, and Woodbridge.Responsibilities:Provide onsite support for IT equipment including POS systems, desktops, printers, thin clients, access points, and network devicesTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issuesPerform installations, upgrades, and break/fix supportSupport copper and fiber cabling, including basic terminationsDocument all work, updates, and resolutions in ticketing systemsTravel daily within a 125+ mile radius (route-based travel)Work with remote teams to resolve escalated technical issuesOccasionally work at heights (20–25 feet) and lift up to 25 lbsQualifications:1+ year of IT technical support or field technician experienceCompTIA A+ (required), Network+ preferredExperience with Windows, macOS, or Linux environmentsFamiliarity with networking fundamentals and IT hardwareExperience with cabling (copper/fiber) is a plusStrong communication and customer service skillsValid driver's license requiredWage Range: The hourly rate for this position is between $17.62 - $23.00 per hour, unless the local minimum wage is higher.
