Corporate Energy Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a junior associate to join its Corporate practice in Los Angeles, CA. The candidate will advise sponsors, developers, investors, and financial institutions on complex energy, infrastructure, and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project development, and strategic investments. Experience with renewable energy and cross-border matters is preferred. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction preparation. Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including memos and contracts. Assist in managing complex transactions from inception to resolution. Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing professional support. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative transaction strategies. Participate in high-level legal activities, including client meetings and negotiations. Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance legal skills. Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work. Requirements 1-3 years of corporate, energy, or infrastructure transactional experience. Familiarity with tax equity financings and complex investment arrangements is a plus. Experience with M&A, project development, and joint venture transactions. EducationJD degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice in the state of California.
