RRT Position in Benson, AZ

Position Title: RRT

Location: Benson, AZ 85602

Duration: 13 weeks

Work Schedule: 06:00 AM-06:30 PM Alternating 3/12s

Pay rate: 55-60$/hr.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Administer oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, and aerosolized medications.
• Set up, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilators, including LTV-1200 ventilators.
• Set up and manage BiPAP therapy using VISION BiPAP machines.
• Administer nebulizer treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' respiratory status and response to treatment.
• Perform emergency respiratory interventions, including airway management and resuscitation support.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies in the Med Unit, Emergency Department (ED), and outpatient areas.
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures when required.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation, if required by the facility.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement respiratory care plans.

Charting System: Medhost

Facility: Level IV facility with 22 inpatient beds and 9 ED beds

Equipment Used: LTV-1200 ventilators, VISION BiPAP machines, and BAN nebulizers for breathing treatments

Staffing: One Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is scheduled per shift and is responsible for the Med Unit, ED, and outpatient services.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Arizona State RRT License
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
