Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist Weekly Pay: $1599 - $1799 Shift: 12 Hour Day, 3 shifts per week (36 scheduled hours) Start Date: 06/15/2026 End Date: 09/19/2026 Duration: 13 Weeks Job Description The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional license and with minimal supervision. The practitioner evaluates patients and recommends appropriate treatment plans. They are responsible for explaining the purpose and procedures of treatments, tests, and equipment to patients and providing necessary education upon discharge. Schedule Day shift consisting of 3 12‑hour shifts per week. Assignment Duration This is a 13‑week contract position. Responsibilities Conduct physician‑prescribed treatments using ventilatory, oxygen, and aerosol devices. Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance. Conduct suctioning of patients using oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal methods. Monitor oxygen saturation and capnography according to policy. Review patient chest x‑rays and perform pulmonary function studies. Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care. Perform arterial puncture and evaluate ventilation efficiency. Conduct cardiopulmonary resuscitation as per BLS and ACLS guidelines. Manage and maintain ventilatory equipment, ensuring functionality and safety. Document treatment outcomes and communicate with medical personnel regarding patient status. Required Experience, Certifications, and Licensure Candidates must possess a current professional license as a Respiratory Therapist and relevant certifications as per the position’s requirements.
