Nutrition Care Associate

Overview Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. The role includes patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning. This position is scheduled as Full Time, 30 hours per week, with a pay rate based on experience ($17.68 - $22.99). Work schedule: Wednesday–Monday 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Benefits eligible: Medical, Dental, Vision, Education Assistance. Responsibilities Deliver and present trays to patients following standard processes. Assist with food preparation according to system standards (following standard recipes, assembling ingredients) for items such as salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit. Follow standardized practices related to Nutrition Services (dining experience, meal delivery, maintaining required stock levels). Perform housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment (e.g., oven, fryer, hoods). Process cash/credit transactions accurately according to system standards and resolve basic customer service issues independently. Qualifications Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work. One or more years of experience in customer service, food service, or patient service preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred). Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred). Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors; identify equipment and supplies; and assess customer needs. Frequent interaction with customers requiring clear communication and quick understanding of spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment; can include frequent computer, phone, and cable setup and use. Ability to lift and transport equipment; work on hands and knees; bend to set up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment; items may vary in weight up to heavy. Remain standing for long periods; tolerate temperature extremes (grill, refrigerator) and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
