Financial Aid Coordinator

Position Details Position Title: Coordinator/Financial Aid Operations Division: Vice President Student Affairs (DIV) Department: Financial Aid This position is responsible for all aspects of communication management for financial aid, and assists with compliance measures and procedures. Essential Job Functions Assist in audit preparation. Assist with compliance measures and procedures. Oversee financial aid communications to students – phone, text, email, and automation through Anthology, etc. Monitor documents sent and received. Provide confidential assistance and counseling to students and parents concerning application and processing of available aid programs and scholarships. Assist with the reconciliation process. Provide support to the college’s recruitment efforts by giving financial aid information to high schools, civic organizations, businesses and others as needed. Represent the Financial Aid office at college events (i.e. open houses, fairs, etc.). Review and assist students with resolution of FAFSA C‑Codes and verification. Complete outside agency forms for students regarding financial aid eligibility or benefits, such as OVR, Career Link, deferment forms, etc. Work closely with the Director/Financial Aid to ensure financial aid processes are running efficiently. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local changes to policies and regulations. Perform job duties in accordance with college policies and procedures; adhere to bargaining unit agreements as applicable. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred. 1-3 years of related work experience in financial aid or finance is highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Related work experience in higher education preferred. Physical Demands Prolonged sitting. Repetitive finger/hand movements. Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
