As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Job responsibilitiesExecute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by othersIdentify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience3+ years of combined software/application development experience in mobile development1+ year of AI engineering experience building native mobile appsStrong Android development background in developing mobile applications using KotlinFamiliarity with architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, MVCExperience with modern native mobile development tools and systems (git, Xcode, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, CoreData, Android Studio, Robolectric, Mockito, Espresso, RxJava, Dagger, Retrofit)Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.Experience with CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Agile development including daily scrum and weekly iteration reviews and planningPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFamiliarity with how to optimize code for phones, testing with phones, and challenges with mobile devicesFamiliarity with several languages: Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, Java, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, PythonExperience with Git source control managementExperience consuming RESTful web services from a mobile platformAdvanced communication skills with the ability to clarify application requirements with business partners in addition to relying on technical requirements documentationChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
