We invite you to contribute your talents to our community The Chicago College of Performing Arts/Roosevelt University is seeking a part-time instructor of directing to teach a brief summer class to graduate students in our Master of Arts in Theatre Directing program. This is a 1.5 credit hour module that is part of a broader sequence of classes in directing and will consist of nine class sessions delivered to approximately 18 students. This class should address issues, strategies and practical techniques for the early-career director in rehearsing and staging Contemporary Plays. The instructor will be supported in crafting an effective lesson plan for this unique program. Dates: June 29, 30 & July 2 July 6, 7 & 9 Class meeting times: Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. and Thursdays from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. The salary for these nine class sessions: $1,991.00 Job Duties: Online delivery of course material, including creating assignments and evaluation of students’ work. Clear and timely communication. Timely submission of all grades. Consistent usage of Roosevelt University email address (to be assigned upon onboarding). Equipment Operated Working Conditions Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently.
