Overview

The Merchandise Planner is responsible for driving strategic demand planning that supports profitable growth across DTC channels. This role is pivotal in maximizing sales, maintaining healthy in-stock levels, improving speed to market, and optimizing the product assortment through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate blends analytical expertise with strong cross-functional partnership, enabling efficient buying execution, accurate OTB management, and timely inventory decisions that align with market trends and consumer demand.

What You'll Do

· Analyze weekly sales, inventory, and SKU productivity across DTC channels.

· Monitor market trends and sell-through data to identify demand opportunities.

· Produce clear reporting highlighting risks, opportunities, and assortment/inventory recommendations.

· Own the Demand Plan for Personalization, ensuring alignment with commercial and seasonal needs.

· Manage and maintain accuracy of the OTB tool.

· Present data-driven scenarios incorporating forecasts, inventory turn, and promotional impacts.

· Recommend seasonal and in-season stocking strategies for core, carryover, and new product launches.

· Partner with Regional Merchants to align on assortment, buy quantities, and inventory strategy.

· Drive monthly planning deliverables, including buy recommendations and speed.

· Participate in key business reviews, offering insights to guide strategic decisions.

· Identify workflow or system inefficiencies and propose enhancements.

· Support planning tool evolutions, system transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring to the Table

· Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, mathematics or a related field preferred.

· At least 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and strategic planning, preferably in retail.

· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).

· Experience with inventory management systems and forecasting tools.

· Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly to stakeholders.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Salary or Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
