Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Room setting within a short-term acute care facility
• Deliver nursing care consistent with Level I Trauma Center standards and protocols
• Participate in on-call duties and weekend rotation as needed
• Float between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius as operationally required
• Work up to 48 hours per week based on departmental scheduling needs
• Comply with holiday coverage requirements, including working at least 1–2 major holidays if they fall within the assignment period

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required (strictly enforced); first-time travelers must have 3+ years of recent ER experience
• At least one prior completed travel assignment required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Valid driver's license required at time of submission
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; RTO submitted after an offer is made will not be honored
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3+ years of recent Emergency Room or travel nursing experience
• Large hospital or high-volume facility experience
• EPIC electronic health records experience
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted for this position
