Visiting Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in Sport & Exercise Sciences

Summary The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the discipline and departmental core, provide thesis mentoring, and engage in program, college, and university service. Additionally, the candidate must be responsive to the mission of Barry University. Responsibilities Utilize face‑to‑face, online, and blended teaching modalities to facilitate student learning in graduate and undergraduate coursework as assigned by the department chair. Teach one or more of the following subjects: emergency response, motor learning, adapted physical activity, biomechanics, exercise physiology, sport psychology, exercise psychology, and sport ethics. Recruit, onboard, and manage clinical education affiliations with new and existing clinical sites. Perform site visits, advise students, develop and enforce policy, evaluate student performance, and review student and site feedback. Engage in scholarly activity, university, and community service, and collaborate with other university departments to recruit students in the College of Health and Wellness. Qualifications Doctoral degree in exercise and sport sciences or a related field. ACSM CEP, NSCA CSCS, and/or AASP CMPC certifications are highly sought.
