Controls & Automation EngineerOur client, a leader in industrial manufacturing and automation, is seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer to join their team. As a Controls & Automation Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting manufacturing operations and automation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.Location: Hopkinsville, KY or Clarksville, TN (Onsite)What's the Job?Design, develop, test, and deploy PLC logic using Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000 / 500 for ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and GuardLogix platforms.Configure and manage PTC Kepware (KEPServer/EX) middleware for real-time OT data acquisition and device communication.Perform on-site system commissioning, start-up, loop tuning, and functional testing to ensure optimal operation.Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, CIP, Modbus TCP/RTU, and Profinet.Maintain comprehensive engineering documentation including electrical schematics, P&IDs, I/O lists, and network architecture diagrams.What's Needed?Experience programming and commissioning Rockwell Automation control platforms.Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Kepware middleware and industrial networking protocols.Ability to perform root-cause analysis on hardware, logic, and communication failures.Strong understanding of machine safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC View phone number on click.appcast.io) and cybersecurity best practices.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.What's in it for me?Opportunity to work on impactful automation projects in a dynamic environment.Immediate start with potential for long-term engagement.Collaborative team culture that values innovation and continuous improvement.Onsite work location in a thriving industrial region.Chance to develop your skills in industrial connectivity and control systems.Upon completion of waiting period consultants are eligible for:Medical and Prescription Drug PlansDental PlanVision PlanHealth Savings AccountHealth Flexible Spending AccountDependent Care Flexible Spending AccountSupplemental Life InsuranceShort Term and Long Term Disability InsuranceBusiness Travel Insurance401(k), Plus MatchWeekly Pay
