About the Position

Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – North Dakota

Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Straight evenings, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Monday – Friday with call coverage 1-2 days per week and every 3-4 weekends

• High-volume surgical environment averaging 75-100 cases per day with diverse case mix
• 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio ensuring focused, quality patient care
• Advanced technology including robotics (DaVinci preferred), Stealth navigation for neuro cases, and laparoscopic/arthroscopic equipment
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive electronic documentation
• Strong focus on Neuro (craniotomies, spine) and Ortho procedures with versatility in General, GYN, and Urology cases

Requirements:

• Current RN license (North Dakota or Compact state)
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years recent OR/Circulating RN experience required
• Large hospital experience in a facility with 250+ beds and Level 1 Trauma status
• Acute facility experience with 15 or more OR suites required; outpatient center experience does not qualify
• Strong Neuro experience focusing on craniotomies and spine procedures
• Demonstrated Ortho experience for case versatility
• Competency in General surgical cases, GYN, Urology, and laparoscopic procedures
• Experience with robotics and navigation systems strongly preferred
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility location

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and provide direct patient care in the operative setting
• Perform sterile prepping of surgical sites and catheter insertion
• Position patients appropriately for various surgical procedures
• Open and manage sterile supplies while maintaining sterile field
• Set up and utilize sophisticated operating room equipment including cautery, lasers, laparoscopic and arthroscopic equipment
• Document patient care comprehensively within electronic health record system
• Operate Stealth navigation systems for neuro cases as needed
