School of Nursing - Director of Grant Evaluation Unit

The School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications and nominations for the faculty position of  Director of Grant Evaluation Unit.  Candidates may elect different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service and scholarship components of the faculty role. Rank, tenure, and salary are competitive and commensurate with professional background and experience.

Candidates for the Director of Grant Evaluation Unit position must have: a doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in evaluation, epidemiology, nursing, psychology, sociology, educational research/ mathematics or a related field is preferred; relevant prior work experience that includes grant/program evaluation and data analytics; excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders; proven research experience with a track record of scholarly publications; strong command of project management principles, procedures, and best practices; demonstrated skills in team leadership, professional development, and interpersonal communication; strong analytical and problem solving skills; and the ability to work effectively in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals.

The UAB School of Nursing’s legacy of leadership is focused on the integration of research, education, and clinical practice and evidenced in more than 22,000 alumni serving as expert clinicians, executive nurse leaders, deans and directors of nursing programs, nurse scientists, advanced practice registered nurses, and other professional leaders.
