Job Description Pay Range: $69,000 - $85,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. This position is responsible for assisting in overseeing the Shipping Department by planning, coordinating and supervising the activities of the department to ensure that product is shipped out on a timely basis. Work schedule: 7:00pm – 5:30am Monday through Thursday. Must be flexible to work Friday as needed to support the needs of the business. Why work at MITER Brands? Responsibilities Coordinates the loading of products to meet shipment schedules. Determines proper packing and crating of goods to be shipped. Provides accurate bills of lading and keeps records of goods shipped. Schedules and expedites appropriate transportation to comply with shipping deadlines. Works with the Dispatcher to monitor and actively pursue lowest possible freight rates. Ensures the integrity of the location systems. Organizes and maintains the staging areas to ensure maximum safety and efficiency. Performs all supervisory duties including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Develops and maintains a cooperative working relationship with transportation and other applicable suppliers & customers. Cooperates with all departments to assure a coordinated work relationship exists at all times. Is responsible for inventory usage and all other department costs. Keeps accurate and up‑to‑date records (e.g., timecards, downtime records, absentee records). Enforces company policies in a fair and consistent manner. Meets customer load dates by ensuring all scheduled products are made on‑time, accurate, and 100% complete. Performs other duties as required or directed. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or another related field, or 7 years related experience. Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience and 2 years of leadership experience. Ability to read and interpret regulations and policies in accordance with company guidelines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. English / Spanish bilingual skills preferred. Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and customers. Ability to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the department. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and basic knowledge of PowerPoint.
