Metallurgical Lab Technician Weekend Nights - Federal Ammunition

This role is responsible for conducting metallurgical analysis and performing testing and inspection on raw materials, in‑process components, and chemicals to ensure all material, annealing, cleaning, and lubrication processes meet specifications. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and is based out of our Anoka location. Shift Information: (Q) 7:00pm-7:00am Fri, Sat, Sun + every other Thu + OT as needed What you'll do: Perform metallurgical analyses of in-process and finished components. Perform testing and inspection of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and in-process chemicals to assure defined material, annealing, cleaning and lubing processes are in specification and in control. Provide written and verbal feedback of test results to appropriate adjusters and engineers. You have: High school diploma or GED Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well with others. Accurate documentation skills. Ability and willingness to learn a variety of metallurgical and chemical test methods using various laboratory test equipment. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work with attention to detail Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to spend approximately 50% of time walking or biking through the plant picking up samples. No disciplinary action at a Report of Conference level or above in the last 12 months You might have: PC experience in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred Working experience and knowledge of ammunition and manufacturing processes preferred Work Environment: Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Pay Range: $24.25 - $34.02 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
