Senior Associate Java Engineer


Industry Experience :

• Health domain experience preferred

Expected Start Date : ASAP

End Date : 6-months from start

Location : This position does not require employees to work on-site daily. However, candidates must reside within a reasonable distance of office (see attached office locations). This requirement is necessary to accommodate in-person interview requests and, if hired, candidates must be able to visit a office to collect their company laptop and complete government-issued ID verification. Additionally, candidates must be able to go onsite when requested for security purposes.

Senior Associate Java Engineer

Required Fields:

• • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): 5+ years of end-to-end experience (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment).
    • Familiarity with tools and best practices for each SDLC phase.
  • Java/J2EE using Spring Framework: 5+ years of hands-on development experience.
    • Proficiency in building scalable Java applications with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.
  • Web Services / API / Microservices: 5+ years of experience in REST and SOAP-based services.
    • Skilled in developing and integrating microservices, ideally with frameworks such as Spring Cloud.
  • Databases (MySQL/PostGres/DB2/Oracle): 5+ years of experience.
    • Ability to design and optimize database schemas; strong SQL skills.
  • UNIX Commands: 3+ years of experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment.
    • Capable of performing file manipulations, scripting, and job scheduling.
  • Agile Methodology: 3+ years of experience in an Agile set-up (Scrum/Kanban).
    • Familiarity with Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and version control (Git).
  • Java Messaging Services (MQ), WMQ, Kafka (or similar): 3+ years of experience.
    • Comfort with messaging queues, event streaming platforms, and asynchronous communication patterns.
  • DevOps / CICD Tools: 3+ years of experience with Jenkins/Terraform, SpringBoot, deployments in Cloud (Azure/AWS/OpenShift) environments.
    • Skilled in pipeline configurations, automated testing, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Monitoring and Logging: 3+ years of experience using Splunk/Kibana, Prometheus/Grafana, or DTSaaS.
    • Ability to set up alerts, log analysis, and application performance monitoring.

Your Skills & Experience:

• • Cloud Expertise (Azure/AWS/OpenShift): Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications.
    • Familiarity with serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda) is a plus.
  • Security Best Practices: Experience or certifications in secure coding, identity and access management, and data protection.
    • Understanding of compliance standards like PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc. is beneficial.
  • Performance Tuning: Hands-on experience in optimizing Java applications, SQL queries, and infrastructure performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • AI Tools and Automation: Familiarity with AI-driven development environments and code generation tools; willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Develop, Test, & Deploy Medium to Large-Scale Projects:
    Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications, ensuring high-quality, well-tested deliverables that align with business needs.

Collaborate on Application Architecture:
Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust solutions, making key decisions that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Innovation and Enhancement:
Drive improvements in existing applications by designing new features, integrating innovative technologies, and providing alternate design solutions.

Production Support & Troubleshooting:
Monitor production environments for issues, provide on-call support on a rotation basis, and implement rapid, effective solutions to complex problems.

Optimize Reliability & Stability:
Ensure 24x7x365 uptime for key applications, proactively address performance bottlenecks, and implement best-in-class monitoring and alerting solutions.
