Oncology Clinic Nurse Manager (RN) - Tomball, Tx

Overview Texas Oncology is looking for a full-time Oncology Clinic Nurse Manager (RN) to support our clinic in The Woodlands, TX. Parking is covered. M-F work schedule, no holidays or on-call. Responsibilities Ensure clinical operations and practices are consistent with organizational objectives. Collaborate with practice management on operational projects such as site Quality Committees, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative site assessments, Advancing Care Information, the Oncology Care Model (OCM), and other special projects. Facilitate implementation and utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practices. Implement standardized best practices within the organization. Ensure practice standards of care are consistent with community standards, and incorporate clinical evidence into existing and newly developed standards. Assume staff development responsibilities: assess staffing levels, patient flow, and current practices in the clinical setting. Assist with development of company-wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programs. Apply knowledge of labor laws and schedule employee staffing including vacations, sick leave, and overtime. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing school, BSN or MSN preferred; RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current BLS certification required. Minimum of five (5) years of active practice as a registered nurse, including at least three (3) years oncology experience. Working Conditions Environment: Office or clinic setting; possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations typical of an oncology/hematology clinic. Physical Requirements Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
