Accounting Manager

As our client rapidly expands through strategic acquisitions, you will gain significant exposure to acquisition integration, multi-site financial operations, and process scaling. Whether you are an experienced Accounting Manager or a sharp Senior Accountant ready to step up into team leadership, this role gives you direct management over a Staff Accountant and a clear trajectory toward a future Controller position.

salary: $90,000 - $105,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Accounting & Financial Reporting; manage general ledger accounting activities.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and standard accrual entries.
• Perform and review bank and account reconciliations.
• Identify discrepancies and ensure accounting entries are accurate and properly corrected.
• Manage and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports for CFO and management review. 
• Assist with budgeting and financial analysis.
• Prepare and review payroll-related journal entries.
• Own the annual external audit process, including coordination with external auditors, preparation and review of PBC schedules, and management of audit requests across multiple business units.
• Supervise, train, and provide day-to-day guidance to include reviewing work completed by the team to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Support accounts payable processes and AP automation initiatives.
• Promote consistent accounting procedures across all locations.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, reporting, and efficiency.
• Misc. other tasks, duties and projects as needed
