Details\n \n Work in the Mother Baby Center of an acute care teaching hospital \n Rotate between labor and post-partum care \n Average daily census of 8 deliveries and 15 post-partum patients \n Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (1900-0730) \n Work every other weekend \n No on-call requirements \n Float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby \n Uses Epic (Excellian) for charting \n Requirements\n \n Active MN RN license (or pending license accepted) \n Current BLS and NRP certifications required \n AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, and FHM certifications preferred \n Minimum 2 years of L&D experience with post-partum experience required \n Sterile vaginal exam experience required \n Experience with external and internal fetal monitoring required \n Experience with IUPC placement and calibration required \n Skilled in recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns \n Experience administering Pitocin (oxytocin) required \n Experience managing and administering epidural anesthesia required \n Pain management and nitrous oxide skills preferred \n 1 supervisor reference required for consideration \n Additional Information\n \n Level 2 Trauma Center with 258 staffed beds \n Provide labor and delivery and post-partum nursing care in a Mother Baby Center setting \n Scrubs provided by the unit \n First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered \n RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment \n Candidates who previously worked as perm staff or per diem must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift to be eligible \n No parking fees at this facility \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-745892.
