- Software Dev Engineer - Software Dev Engineer IIApply**Job#: 3038723****Job Description:**Software Dev Engineer - Software Dev Engineer II**Location:** Boston, Massachusetts (Onsite)Compensation: $46 - $56 hourlyRole OverviewWe are seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, build, and scale an agentic AI platform. This role involves working at the intersection of generative AI, distributed systems, and compliance automation. You will contribute to building the core primitive that enables applications and data processing activities to be "born compliant," reducing review cycles and accelerating product launches.Key Responsibilities* Design and implement a serverless backend using AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3.* Build and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and tools that power agentic workflows.* Develop integrations with internal platforms to meet builders where they are.* Implement context management, prompt orchestration, and RAG pipelines using AWS Bedrock.* Build extensible frameworks that allow compliance teams to contribute via scripted workflows.* Implement authentication and authorization flows using CloudAuth and transitive authentication.* Develop feature flagging, prompt versioning, and monitoring systems for reliable and auditable AI behavior.* Contribute to hallucination mitigation strategies, confidence scoring, and deterministic guardrails.Required Qualifications**Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.**Experience:** 2+ years of professional software development experience.**Technical Skills:*** Proficiency in Python or TypeScript.* Experience building and operating production services on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).* A strong understanding of distributed systems and API design.Preferred Qualifications* Experience with generative AI / LLM application development, including prompt engineering, agentic architectures, and RAG.* Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar agent-tool frameworks.* Experience with authentication and authorization systems such as OAuth or transitive authentication.* Understanding of compliance, privacy, or policy automation domains.* A track record of building extensible, multi-tenant platforms.* Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
