ICU Registered Nurse – Flex Team (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed Medical ICU licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients across two floors
• Float as needed to Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC units as part of a flex team assignment
• Manage high-acuity patients including those with SEPSIS, ESRD, AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, adjusting to 1:1 when patient acuity requires
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, effective critical care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; candidates with 1 year of experience must have that experience from a Level 1 ICU setting (new graduate backgrounds with only 1 year may not meet unit requirements)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical ICU (MICU) setting strongly preferred
• Experience with CRRT/CVVH, post cardiac arrest care, and management of respiratory failure patients
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with a solid ICU background
